18,000+ page views to date!

With over 18,000 views to date, the Capilano Gateway Association blog site has emerged as an essential vehicle for community issues, ideas and resources to help us move into a more livable and sustainable future.

Readership of the CGA blog is predominantly from our "near to downtown" Lower Capilano neighbourhood, but now receives a steady and increasing readership from the United States, the U.K., Australia, Germany, Sweden, India - almost everywhere people have an interest in community building and engaging with challenges for our futures in the peri-urban environment.

With the passing of the 2030 Official Community Plan, the focus for our community will need to shift from the battle of opposing visions of the area, to engaging in constructive and realistic options for building a healthy community that is inclusive of a diverse population and holds the ideal of the greater public good to be essential.  We are standing at the edge of a great opportunity to make this corner of the District of North Vancouver the "gateway location", by equipping ourselves with the conceptual tools and initiatives for tomorrow's needs and living.

"The Bench" sessions are irregular and are held depending on circumstances and who feels like cooking.

The CGA remains committed to seeking viable, realistic and community focused goals, based on the "3 Rs":  Reasonable, Rational and Realistic.  We welcome your comments and hope to see you at "The Bench"!
